Color Contrast and Creek Bed
I listened carefully to Catherine and Rita’s preference for unusual and nicely contrasting plants, which became the basis for this garden. The dry creek bed provides the necessary drainage for the driveway and also offers a beautiful foundation for grasses and succulents. Raised beds were built for an edible garden surrounded by habitat plants, arbors, and fruit trees creating height and interest. The gazebo was enhanced with Lonicera vines, making an outdoor room where the client can enjoy a lush, private lounging area. Views from the client’s home office were the driving force for the front landscape, which includes plants such as Acer palmatum, Correa, Acacia, Barberry’s, Chondropetalum and various succulents.

Testimonial
"Margaret is a very gifted landscape designer. She is extremely knowledgeable about plant selection and placement, and was excellent at incorporating my plant choices and ideas. She combined a beautiful variety of textures, shapes and colors and was very responsive to my design requests. The quality of the plants as well as the hardscape installation was very impressive. Margaret was very professional, communicated clearly and promptly, and has been very available since the planting of the garden for consultation and small additions. She transformed a barren and neglected garden, filled with crab grass and asphalt, into a stunning oasis. I recommend her highly." — Catherine M.
